Size and fit

Every size is listed in inches, with centimetres in brackets right after. Where a bed has raised sides, the inside sleeping area is smaller than the outside dimensions.

Measure your dog nose to tail lying down and add about 6 in (15 cm). If they sleep curled, a smaller round bed can work. If they sprawl, size up.

What it is made of

A short-velour face quilted into small closed diamonds, with a warm-cream reverse attached to it. Thin and flexible on purpose — the same pad is meant to move between a bed, a seat and a crate floor.

Care and washing

Machine wash the cover cold on a gentle cycle and air dry. Do not tumble dry the filling. New foam can carry a smell for the first few days out of the packaging; airing it out in a room clears it.

What if my dog will not use it?

Most refusals are shape, not quality. A dog who leans on furniture wants a rim. A dog who lies flat in the middle of the room wants a flat mat. Put the new bed where the old sleeping spot was rather than somewhere new.

Is it chew proof?

No dog bed is chew proof, including this one. A determined chewer will get through any of them. Bite-resistant fabric slows it down; it does not stop it.

Does it smell when it arrives?

Compressed foam usually carries a smell for the first two or three days. Unpack it and leave it in an aired room; it goes.
