We build dog products the way we'd want them built.
No fluff. No filler. No "team of passionate dog lovers." Just specific tools, honest writing, and one founder who reads every email.
Why This Exists.
Most dog products come from one of two places: a $400 boutique selling artisanal hemp leashes that snap in three months, or a $4 dropship store selling toys that smell like burning plastic. There's almost nothing honest in the middle.
The founder of FURMIND got tired of that. Tired of paying premium prices for trash, and tired of the cheap stuff being garbage in a different way. So instead of starting another shop selling the same blank merchandise from the same factories, FURMIND was built around a simple question: what would a dog product look like if you actually read the research first?
The answer turned out to be specific. A snuffle mat designed around how dogs naturally sniff out food. A lick pad built on the way steady licking helps a dog calm down. A leash with a bungee core, because we know how much force a sudden lunge puts on a dog's neck and your arm. Tools that take real dog research seriously, each paired with a free training guide that explains how to use it.
That's the entire pitch. No mission statement. No mascot. Just specific products for specific problems, with a free training guide for each one.
What We Believe.
Four things we're not going to compromise on, even when it would be easier.
Hardware fixes mechanics. Behavior fixes habits.
Buying a no-pull harness will redirect the force on your dog's neck, but it won't stop the pulling. Buying a snuffle mat will create cognitive fatigue, but it won't make a bored dog stop chewing the couch on day one. Tools and training go together. We refuse to sell one without the other.
Free training shouldn't be a marketing gimmick.
Every product ships with a free eBook training guide. Not a 4-page PDF designed to upsell you into a $200 video course. A real, day-by-day guide, 30 to 100 pages, with printable trackers. The information costs nothing because the information shouldn't cost anything.
We sell tools. We don't sell magic.
No product on this site is going to fix your dog in 24 hours. Behavior change happens with consistent practice over weeks. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something. The training guides are honest about timelines because honest expectations are the only kind that work.
Email replies should come from humans.
support@furmind.co goes to a real human inbox. Not a chatbot. Not a Zendesk macro. Not a "we'll get back to you in 5–7 business days" auto-responder. If you have a question, you get a real answer from a real person, usually within 24 hours.
What's In The Box.
What We're Building Toward.
Some of the dogs we keep in mind every time we ship something new, and the daily moments we're trying to make better for them.
The walks where your dog isn't dragging you across the sidewalk. The mornings where they don't inhale breakfast in 12 seconds. The thunderstorms where they actually settle. The afternoons where they're not pacing the kitchen at 5pm because they have no job to do.
None of these moments require a $200 course or a personal trainer. They require a few specific tools and a few weeks of consistent practice. That's it. That's the entire system. We're just trying to make that system actually accessible, not paywalled, not gatekept, not buried under upsells.
What We're Not.
Differentiation through subtraction. Here's what we're choosing not to be.
-
We're not "vet-recommended." No vet has officially endorsed FURMIND. We read research papers and apply published findings. That's not the same thing as a clinical endorsement, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
-
We're not a "team of passionate dog lovers." FURMIND is a small operation. The same person who designs the products writes the training guides, answers customer emails, and packs the orders. There's no team of 30. There's accountability and proximity.
-
We're not the cheapest option on Amazon. You can find a $4 snuffle mat that smells like burning plastic. We're not selling that. We're selling the version that uses food-grade materials and ships with a 30-page training guide. Pricing reflects that.
-
We're not a 100%-satisfaction-guarantee brand. Most of those guarantees are marketing theater, designed to be unenforceable, full of conditions, processed by an outsourced support team. We don't run that play. If something's wrong with your order, email a human and we'll handle it.
-
We're not selling a course inside a course inside a course. The free training guides are the training. They're not a teaser for a $297 video bundle. There's no "next level." There's just the protocol, written down, attached to your order.
-
We're not a behavior emergency service. If your dog has a serious behavioral issue, aggression, severe trauma, neurological symptoms, you need a certified behaviorist, not a snuffle mat. We'll be the first to tell you.
