Measure your dog from nose to the base of the tail while it is lying stretched out, then add 6–8 in (15–20 cm). That is the sleeping length you need. Between two sizes, take the bigger one.

A reversible quilted blanket cut in human bed sizes, black on one face and white on the other, for the bed your dog shares with you.
- Tight quilting stops the bunching. Small diamonds closely spaced, so thin padding stays flat when a dog turns on it.
- Color one side, white the other. The side that took the mud can go underneath until wash day.

Every size is listed in inches, with centimetres in brackets right after. Where a bed has raised sides, the inside sleeping area is smaller than the outside dimensions.
Measure your dog nose to tail lying down and add about 6 in (15 cm). If they sleep curled, a smaller round bed can work. If they sprawl, size up.
